OUR HOMESTEAD STORY
Hi there! I'm Katrina Heche, founder of Heche's Homestead. After graduating from Case Western Reserve's School of Medicine with a Master's of Public Health degree, I joined the Peace Corps and moved to a rural village in the north bank region of The Gambia in West Africa where I paired my institutional health knowledge with tangible skills such as soap making, bee keeping, permaculture garden practices, and more. It was also there that I met my husband, and once we retuned to the United States, we became compelled to not only continue our wholistic lifestyle, but expand on it as well. From our tiny one bedroom apartment in Chicago to our now half-acre homestead in Stoughton, Wisconsin, we spent years thoughtfully researching, carefully crafting, and choosing very intentional lifestyle choice shifts.

Finally in 2024, with much encouragement from family and friends from around the world, we founded Heche's to share our knowledge and the non-toxic home goods we craft for our own home with the rest of the world. We hope you love our products as much as we do, and wish you luck on your homesteading/sustainable living journey!
